As a native of Kitty Hawk, NC, M. Lee Midgett III began his professional
photography career while studying psychology at East Carolina University. With initial beginnings
in wedding photography, Lee started his first studio business on a modest scale in September 1993
and has been enjoying the sharing of his work since the beginning. For years now, Lee has been known as the
premier professional portrait and wedding photographer in the area.
With a specialty in working with children and families in-studio and on-location, Lee and his staff operate a full-service
portrait and wedding studio with an active clientele base throughout central and eastern N.C., along with many in and
out-of-state vacationers. The technologically astute staff includes specialists in client service, sales consultation,
production and printing, digital imaging, and, of course, photography.
Lee is currently a member of the Professional Photographers of America (PPA)
as well as having been a very active member of The Professional Photographers of North Carolina (PPofNC). He and his staff attend numerous seminars and
conferences to keep abreast of the latest techniques, styles, and technologies. Lee even finds time to teach photography and photoshop at Carteret Community College.

As a supporter of community involvement, Lee regularly sponsors student
interns, speaks at school career days, and makes donations towards public
fund-raising efforts. He also maintains membership on the Carteret Community
College advisory board for the Photographic Technology program, where he offers
support and guest lectures on a regular basis. Lee has also been one of three
print judges for the North Carolina Seafood Festival Photography Contest for years now.
