Children's Portrait Albums
Creating an Heirloom Portrait Album of your new baby is a wonderful way to show your love for him or her.
Taking time to record those precious stages and expressions before they disappear will
provide a lifetime of memories for you and your child.
M. Lee Midgett III Photography's Children's Portrait Program is designed to preserve
those memories for you. The phase one portrait sessions are scheduled at
3, 6, 9 and 12 months. The second phase includes 18 and 24 months and then
phase three covers each subsequent year around birthday time.
Phase I: The First Year*
* These first four studio basic portrait sessions are included free with your purchase of a
Child's Portrait Album Program enrollment!
3 Months: In "nesting" poses wearing white or pastels. Expect first smiles or even tranquil
sleeping portraits.
6 Months: Baby tries sitting alone. Also very cute is baby on tummy "turtle-style" or playing
with toes while lying on his back. This is the best time for nude or baby-bath portraits.
9 Months: A happy age! All smiles and games. Baby may stand with something to hold on to!
Nine months is our favorite choice for mother/baby portraits. You may take advantage of one
free session for mother and baby during the first year.
12 Months: He's probably beginning to walk now; it can be hard to keep him in one spot! Pastels
are best for this classic portrait stage; bring bedroom props, afghans, stuffed animals, etc.

Phase II: Busy Toddler
18 Months: Lots of changes. This is an independent age. Activities are the best themes
to keep your child's attention focused. Primary colors are fun!
2 Years: A little person is emerging. Skills are developing and gender is easier to
represent. Either classic or fun portraits are appropriate. Consider outdoors!
Phase III: Childhood
Your child should be captured in photographs within a month of his or her birthday
to continue to immortalize each special age. They grow-up so fast... Personality changes and develops each
year, so have him or her photographed professionally at least once annually all the way up
to the senior year!
